Workshops
Share your skills!
Would you be interested in spending a month or more giving workshops to our local community? |
Imagine living in a place of peace, healing and education, working to bring about a vision you believe in. Here at Centro Nijo, we have space to accommodate two volunteers for long-term work and study; you can choose to stay for either a 3-month or 6-month term of service.
In exchange for work, volunteers receive accommodation in our dormitory style community house, meals and the chance to participate in our weekly temazcal or workshops. Life at the ranch is communal, so we all share community tasks, learning to work together according to our desires and abilities. Volunteers need a basic level of Spanish, a cheerful and flexible attitude, and lots of initiative to tackle projects and bring them to fruition.
We are looking for people with a variety of skills to be part of this ever evolving experience, who can offer specialised help and hold experience in activities such as: |

- Fundraising
- Administration
- Graphic design and publicity work
- Builders, carpenters, plumbers, electricians
- Workshops dance, music, theatre, arts and crafts, sports etc.
- Language classes (English, Spanish, Zapotec)
- Organic agriculture
- Alternative energy sources
- Local traditional knowledge
- Natural therapies
- Health and nutrition

Centro Nijo would provide you with free accommodation for your holiday in exchange for giving workshops (5 – 10hrs p.wk) to our local community. You must be fully qualified and visas will be required if you are not a Mexican citizen. Minimum stay of 2 weeks.

For each volunteer a special program will be designed depending on their skills, with set projects discussed before arrival. The hours of work will be roughly Monday to Friday, 9AM to 4PM. In your spare time you will be able to focus on your own learning, healing, creative work – or just time to go to the beach.
For volunteers from outside Mexico visas will be required. |
