The wise guys have landed in Brooklyn.

Filming has officially gotten underway on the feature film prequel to The Sopranos, titled The Many Saints of Newark.

Ironically, the cast and crew of the mafia flick were spotted on set in Brooklyn, New York a mere 30 minutes from Newark, New Jersey where the film is set.

Tony Soprano will be portrayed as his younger self in New by the late, great James Gandolfini’s real life son Michael.

Earlier this month, Michael Gandolfini, 19, told TMZ that he’s psyched to be playing his famous father’s character as a young man in the prequel.

‘It’s exciting to step into the shoes of my dad,’ he said. ‘I’m real excited, it’s going to be great!’ he said.

Newark is set for release September 25, 2020.
