At Centro Nijo, education is an important part of our mission. We currently offer a three-level, residential course in ‘Awakening the Healer’ for students of alternative medicine, and workshops in nutrition, weight control, and stress-management for the general public. Because we believe that all arts are intrinsically healing, we additionally have a variety of workshops for the local community in topics such as painting, dance, and language. Our courses and workshops are designed to awaken and develop each student’s personal energy, inner peace, and creativity.

The School of Healing Arts is the outreach arm of Centro Nijo, which allows us to create connections with and within our nearby communities, as well as in our global community, following our tenets of Community, Culture, and Ecology. Through education, we offer tools for an expansion of healing, empowering individuals with the knowledge of how to heal themselves, as well as how to heal others.

Become aware of your personal energy, study the elements, and develop a range of healing techniques through our classes. These courses are intensives that fuse Chinese, Pre-Hispanic Mexican and Native North American Medicine.

Our goal is to offer a variety of free and low-cost classes to youth and adults in the local and travelers’ communities. We'd like to create a space of cultural exchange, directed towards the stimulation of conscious development, alternative education, creativity, ecological awareness and personal growth. Our hope is to develop the strength of each person and the community as a whole.

We currently have no classes scheduled, but check back to see what might be new! If you have something to teach, we are always looking for VOLUNTEERS to help with our program.
